What is OASDI on a pay stub?
OASDI is the formal name for Social Security tax. On a pay stub it appears as OASDI, SS or SOC SEC. Employees pay 6.2% of wages until year-to-date wages reach the 2026 wage base of $184,500, after which it stops for the rest of the year.
